ELDON LADIES 2014 - 2015

SEASON REVIEW

Eldon Ladies’ 2014 -2015 season got off to a strong start winning 3 of their first 5 games, one of which was a dominant 20-0 victory over Newcastle Uni Ladies 2.

Unfortunately, the good form at the beginning of the season was cut short due to injuries to key players, meaning others had to move up the rankings. This caused some difficulties for Eldon Ladies, and led to a 3 game losing streak, although 2 of those games were against strong opponents in Tynemouth Ladies 3 and Northern Ladies 3.

Eldon ended the losing streak with a convincing 19-4 away win against Newcastle Uni Ladies 2. However, they lost their final game of the season in a tight affair against Newcastle Uni Ladies 1.

Eldon Ladies finished the season in 4th place, with 104 points, after winning 4 of their 10 games. While this was a slightly lower than their average finish, mainly due to injuries, Eldon were only 1 point off of 3rd place. Hopefully, Eldon Ladies can regroup over the summer break and return next season without too many injuries for a stronger season.
